ATC's with Cracked-ice technique

I had to try this technique, it's been on my TO-TRY list far too long!

I am entering this in the MY MOJO MONTHLY for JANUARY. 

 

This is what Sarah from La-de-dah wrote : 'Sometimes you just want to 'be creative' but you don't always want to embark on a major project. Maybe you fancy test-driving a new technique or different colours. An ATC offers you an open door to ponder and play without any major tears if it goes wrong.'

So right, I tend to use newly found techniques on ATC's, so this challenge just fits me!

On this ATC you can see the result of me using waxpaper for the first time.

You must know, we cannot buy waxpaper on the roll here in Holland (not fare!), and I couldn't get some in the shops here as they were sold out. Until a blog-friend in Holland sent me some, off a role she got hold of when her husband went for a trip to the USA! lol

Libelle ATC

I am entering this in the Fun wit ATC's #49- Libelle
and into the Gingersnap GC128: Color Challenge - Yellow, Red and Brown

The technique on the STEMPEL-ATC Yahoo group this month is to use waxpaper. Here I put the waxpaper through the cuttlebug first, before ironing it between the pieces of cardstock.

Some history on the bridge:
The 'London Bridge is falling down' nursery rhyme is based on the one of the most famous landmarks in London. It's history can be traced to the Roman occupation of England in the first century. The first London Bridge was made of wood and clay and was fortified or re-built with the various materials mentioned in the children's nursery rhyme. Many disasters struck the bridges - Viking invaders destroyed the bridge in the 1000's which led to a fortified design, complete with a drawbridge. Building materials changed due to the many fires that broke out on the bridge.
